Quick InterviewWhat five words best describe you?responsible; organized; intelligent; articulate; active What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?exercising; listening to music; reading; being outdoors; spending time with my children, family, and friends What make's a great boss?clear communication; the ability to offer constructive feedback, both positive and negative; empathy; recognizing when it's important to push an employee and ask for more from him/her and when it's important to sit back for a moment and celebrate a success What is your yardstick for success?I value support and recognition from peers and supervisors. It's important to get that outside affirmation of a job well done. But, if I feel good about the work I've completed and what I've contributed to the team, that is my true measure of success. What are your long-term professional goals?Climbing the corporate ladder is not my professional goal. That's not a great motivator for me. I'd like to work for an organization that has a collaborative environment, values its employees and sees them as its strongest asset. In that kind of culture, I know I would want to give my best, and that has always been my long-term professional goal. If recognition and advancement result from that effort, then that's just icing on the cake. |
