Quick InterviewWhat five words best describe you?Curious, imaginative, friendly, honest, dedicated What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?My husband and I are both artists who enjoy exhibits, museums, and craft fairs. I try to keep up with my grown children - one in the Navy, one in the Air Force and one who is married to an officer in the Army National Guard. My kids got me hooked on young adult literature, especially series fantasy fiction. Now you can ask me anything about Harry Potter, Eragon, Aragorn, Spock, or the Baudelaire orphans. I most often lose track of time with my digital SLR and my Mac. What make's a great boss?A great boss can communicate respect, appreciation, and support while continually setting higher expectations. A great boss doesn't have to know how to do my job, but s/he should make it easier for me to fulfill my responsibilities and to grow them even larger. What is your yardstick for success?The work I find most fulfilling is providing information and/or training that people really need in a way they can most readily use. I enjoy working with specialists in many fields, helping them put information into terms and visuals their target audience will best receive and act upon. What are your long-term professional goals?I am pursuing a Masters degree in Corporate Communication. I would like to find a place where I can use my wide variety of talents and interests to improve the lives of others. |
